This policy explains what information CurrentTrove collects when you use the binder-planning tool, why, and what we don't collect. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello.currenttrove@gmail.com.
What We Collect
- Account email. If you create an account, your email address is stored by our authentication provider (Supabase) so you can sign in and sync your binders across devices.
- Binder contents. The binders, pages, and card placements you create are stored so they're there when you come back. This data belongs to you and isn't shared with anyone else.
- Card search terms. When you search for a card, the search text is sent to TCGdex's public card database to fetch results. No account or personal information is included in that request.
Visit Statistics
To see how many people use CurrentTrove, we use Vercel Web Analytics, the privacy-focused visit counter built into Vercel, the service that hosts the site. For each page visit it records the page, the site you came from (if any), your country and region, and your device type, browser, and operating system. It uses no cookies, doesn't follow you to other websites, and doesn't identify you: Vercel tells visits apart with a temporary code it discards after 24 hours, and we only ever see totals. Before anything is sent, we remove everything after the page address, such as one-time sign-in or password-reset codes. It never sees your binders, your card searches, or your email.
What We Don't Collect
No advertising trackers, nothing that follows you across other websites, and no cookies. Signing in relies on your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, not cookies. If you use CurrentTrove without an account, everything you create stays in your browser's local storage on your device and is never sent anywhere.
Donations
CurrentTrove is free to use. If you'd like to support it, there's an optional link to Buy Me a Coffee. It's a plain link to their site -- nothing is loaded from them on our pages, and nothing is sent to them unless you click it. Any donation happens entirely on Buy Me a Coffee under their own privacy policy; CurrentTrove never receives or stores your payment details and can't tell who donated.
Now and then (at most about once a week, and much less if you dismiss it) a small note may suggest supporting CurrentTrove after something like filling a page or printing your Binder Map. It never blocks anything or changes what the app does. To space these out, your browser's local storage keeps one small record on your device -- roughly when it last appeared and whether you dismissed it. That record is never sent anywhere.
How Your Data Is Stored
Signed-in data is stored in a Supabase (Postgres) database with Row Level Security enabled, which restricts every account to reading and writing only its own data -- we've designed the system so one account's data is never visible to another.
Third Parties We Use
- Vercel -- hosts the site, and counts visits with its cookie-less Web Analytics (see "Visit Statistics" above).
- Supabase -- account sign-in and database storage.
- Buy Me a Coffee -- optional donations, via an outbound link only. We don't embed anything from them.
- TCGdex -- a public, third-party Pokemon card database used for card search. Only your search text is sent to it.
Data Retention and Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello.currenttrove@gmail.com. We handle deletion requests manually today; deleting your account removes your binders along with it.
Children's Privacy
CurrentTrove is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as CurrentTrove changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page.
